In February 1953, David Saunders drew/painted this rather charming picture - If Chaucer Had Cycled. 

Aside from being rather amusing, I think it also indicates how cycling was such a huge part of his life.

This is a set of Certificates that I think accompanied medals at the annual Northwood Wheelers dinner and prizegiving. While these certificates reflect performances through the year, they are all signed and dated late in the year, usually around November. I found these in my father's box of cycling memorabilia.

All of these (bar one) were awarded to David Saunders, the sole exception being one awarded to Brian Major. I don't know why this one was in my father's possession 70 odd years later!
