1953 saw an apparent upsurge in the numbers of mentions of Northwood Wheelers in the local press. Doubtless this was due to activity on the part of the club committee publicising their activities. As far as I can tell, the papers published the copy submitted to them verbatim, so there is sometimes considerable duplication with the same item repeated in two or three different papers.
