This month's diary entries are just Sundays; quite long rides each weekend, but it's noted that David didn't do the Cleeve Hill ride.

497 miles

Sat Nov 1st 15 miles Did not go to Cleeve Hill.

Sun Nov 2nd 75 miles Rain all day, but 8 out on the club run. We rode out through Harefield and Beaconsfield to Marlow for elevenses at the Westreet cafe and then on to Henley, Bix to Nettlebed for dinner. Came back through the lanes to Reading for tea at the Premier cafe and then home down the Bath road. I bought a new cape yesterday so I didn't get too wet!

Sun Nov 9th 85 miles I did just 30 miles during the week. Today's club run was cold at first, rain later. Five club members out, joined by Tony Standing at tea. We went out via Staines (elevenses at the Spot cafe), Ascot, Wokingham and Reading to dinner at the Hatchgate cafe in Burghfield, and then home through Henley, Marlow and the A 40.

Sun Nov 16th 78 miles After 25 miles during the week, we went out today to Dunstable. Cold with snow in the morning, dry around mid-day but turned to rain again later. We went out through Watford to Hemel Hempstead (elevenses), then on to Studham, where we watched some motorbike trials, then on to dinner near Whipsnade. Came home down the A 6 to Redbourne, where we had an early tea, Hemel Hempstead and Watford. I got a puncture - put another inner tube in, which was a bit difficult because it was a 26" tube with a broken valve. I got home all right, however. A cold day, but worth it!

Sun Nov 23rd 72 miles Club run to Leatherhead after a week of only 21 miles. It was cold, icy at first but warm later. We cycled down through Kingston to Leatherhead and back through Oxshott, Walton and Hayes. No rain. A very good run on my fixed wheel.

Sun Nov 30th 76 miles 25 miles during the week. Today we had a lovely day, cold and damp at first – 6 inches of snow by the roadside in the Chilterns. We had elevenses at Fred's cafe, Amersham, and then up round White Leaf Cross and the Pink and Lily hill to Princes Risborough. We had lunch at "The Limes" at Monks Risborough and found a nice pub. Came home via Butler's Cross, Wendover, Amersham and Rickmansworth. A warm day, but froze hard again later.
